Bouldering for the whole family
At ELYS, young and old climb together. Children from age 3 boulder with an adult, teenagers train in age-appropriate groups. The family taster course is the way in.
Right now Building work under way
We are currently carrying out building work. That means the movement playground can get a little louder at times – especially in the picnic room and around the tree trunks at the very front.
All areas stay open. We ask for a little patience and look forward to showing you the new areas soon.

Good to know
How do we book?
Exclusively online in the shop, at least 3 days in advance – not by phone or email. Payment is due immediately; without payment there is no booking. See our cancellation terms.
How many children can come?
Small birthday: 4 to 6 children with one coach. Large birthday: 7 to 12 children with two coaches. If you are unsure about the number, choose the minimum – you can add up to the maximum on site. Exceptions are unfortunately not possible.
How is the room organised?
With a coach there is a large table in the separate event room, available from 20 minutes before the start, for 3 hours in total. The room may be shared – please decorate only your own table. On your own, the room is exclusively yours. In both cases please leave it clean, otherwise a cleaning fee of CHF 100.– applies. Tables in the foyer cannot be reserved.
Food and drinks?
- You may bring snacks and cake
- Water and cordial are included in the price, further drinks go through us
- Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided
- Pasta feast by prior order: bistro@boulderloft.ch
May we decorate?
Your own table decorations are allowed, we do not provide any material. Ordinary candles, up to a maximum of 12, are fine.
Which areas of the gym may we use?
The movement playground and the New Hall are freely accessible. The Big Hall only from age 13 or with a bouldering licence – this applies per child and is not transferable.
In which language does the programme run?
German and English are always possible, French on request.
Children under 13 may boulder in the movement playground and the New Hall. The bouldering licence additionally opens up the Big Hall – an accompanying adult is still required.
How you get the bouldering licence
-
Prepare at home On our online learning platform you go through the gym rules, safety and behaviour in the bouldering areas together.
-
Test at the counter A short multiple-choice test, together with an accompanying adult. Discussing and thinking it through together is expressly allowed – bouldering is a team sport, including when learning. No booking needed.
-
Stamp on entry The bouldering licence is recorded in the customer account once passed. On entering the gym you get a stamp so our team can see straight away that the child may boulder in the Big Hall when accompanied.
Who is the bouldering licence for?
For children under 13 who boulder with us regularly, move safely around the gym, have internalised the rules and take bouldering seriously as a sport. In case of repeated rule violations our team can withdraw the licence – getting it back then requires taking the test again. The licence applies per child and is not transferable.
Fill in before your visit
Bring the forms filled in if you can – that speeds things up at the counter.
