Terms & House Rules

1. Scope

These general terms and conditions and the house rules apply to all visitors of ELYS Boulderloft, Elsässerstrasse 215a, 4056 Basel, operated by Boulderhalle Basel AG. By entering the premises you accept them.

2. Admission and use

Bouldering is a sport with an increased risk of injury. Use of the facility is at your own responsibility and at your own risk. Everyone is expected to assess their own ability and to adjust their behaviour accordingly.

3. Children and young people

Children under the age of 13 may only use the facility when accompanied and supervised by an adult. Supervision is the responsibility of the accompanying person.

4. Safety and conduct

• Instructions given by staff must be followed.
• Mats and landing zones must be kept clear. Do not stand underneath or next to someone who is climbing.
• Only climb as high as you can safely downclimb or jump off in a controlled way.
• Alcohol, drugs and climbing under their influence are prohibited.

5. Courses and bookings

Course places are booked online and are binding once confirmed. You can rebook or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the course starts. If you cancel later or do not show up, the course fee is due. Gym admission and any rental gear are not included in the course price and are paid on site.

6. Memberships

Memberships are personal and non-transferable. The term and the payment terms depend on the membership you choose, as listed in the price overview.

7. Liability

Boulderhalle Basel AG accepts no liability for personal injury or property damage arising from improper use of the facility or from use at your own responsibility, unless the operator is demonstrably guilty of gross negligence or intent. No liability is accepted for valuables.

8. House rules enforcement

Staff exercise the right of domicile and may remove anyone who breaches these rules from the premises.
