Bouldering for the whole family
At ELYS, young and old climb together. Children from the age of 3 boulder with an adult, teenagers train in age-appropriate groups. The family taster course is the perfect way to start.

Your first moves together
- 60 minutes for children from 5 yrs with an adult
- Every 4th Wednesday at 4.30 pm and every 4th Saturday at 2.30 pm

One adult may supervise a maximum of 3 children. Bare feet are not allowed in any area.
Two options: supervised by our coaches, or self-organised with your own room. Both are booked exclusively online in the shop, at least 3 days in advance.

What does the birthday cost?
Enter the number of children – the birthday child counts too. We'll pick the right package automatically.
Accompanying adults are free as long as they don't boulder themselves. If you're unsure about the number, book the minimum – you can top up to the maximum on site.
When can you celebrate?
With a coach: Saturday 9.30–11.30 am or 12–2 pm.
Self-organised: Thursday and Friday 3–5 pm, Saturday 3–5 pm, Sunday 10 am–12 pm or 3–5 pm.
Unfortunately, no other times are possible.
Good to know
How do we book?
Exclusively online in the shop, at least 3 days in advance – not by phone or email. Payment is made immediately; without payment there is no reservation. Our cancellation terms apply.
How many children can come?
Small birthday: 4 to 6 children with one coach. Large birthday: 7 to 12 children with two coaches. If you're unsure about the number, choose the minimum – you can top up to the maximum on site. Unfortunately, exceptions aren't possible.
How is the room organised?
With a coach you get a large table in the separate event room, available from 20 minutes before the start, for 3 hours in total. The room may be shared – please decorate only your own table. Self-organised, the room is exclusively yours. In both cases, please leave it clean, otherwise a cleaning fee of CHF 100.– applies. Tables in the entrance area cannot be reserved.
Food and drinks?

Can we decorate?
Your own table decorations are welcome, we don't provide any materials. Ordinary candles, up to a maximum of 12, are fine.
Which hall areas can we use?
The movement area and the new hall are freely accessible. The main hall only from 13 years or with a boulder licence – the licence applies per child and is non-transferable.
Which language is the programme in?
German and English are always possible, French on request.
Children under 13 may boulder in the movement area and in the new hall. The boulder licence additionally opens up the main hall – an accompanying adult is still required.
How to get the boulder licence

Prepare at home On our online learning platform you go through the hall rules, safety and how to behave in the bouldering areas together.

Test at the front desk A short multiple-choice test, taken together with an accompanying adult. Discussing and working it out together is expressly allowed – bouldering is a team effort, including when learning. No registration needed.

Stamp on entry The completed boulder licence is stored in the customer account. On entering the hall you get a stamp so our team can see straight away that the child may boulder in the main hall when accompanied.
Who is the boulder licence for?
For children under 13 who boulder with us regularly, move safely around the hall, have internalised the rules and take bouldering seriously as a sport. In the event of repeated rule violations, our team can withdraw the licence – getting it back then requires taking the test again. The licence applies per child and is non-transferable.
